LunarQuake

What is Lunar Quake?

Project Lunar Quake processes data collected by lunar seismometers from the Apollo 11, 12 and 14-16 missions, presented as a publicly accessible interactive web app. The data is visualized as a 3D model, with circular markers identifying seismic activity and filters based on time, spatial, and visual components which allow users to explore both wide and narrow ranges of lunar seismic activity. The web page also includes the background on the lunar seismometers and their history. Through this web app, we hope to provide everyday citizens and other interested parties with an easy way to learn more about lunar activity, specific seismic events, and find a connection to the moon they see every day.
